Ten minutes with Noon
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute a significant part of my success to the mentors and individuals who have supported me throughout my journey; as well as to my own self-belief. I believe we often underestimate the importance of giving ourselves credit, and for me, maintaining confidence in my abilities has been essential.
I am deeply grateful for the support I’ve received from my mother, my father and sibling’s as well as my mentors during both my academic and professional career. Their guidance, combined with my own determination, has been instrumental in shaping my path and enabling me to reach where I am today.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women interested in entering this industry is to remain resilient and confident in your path. Manufacturing and engineering are traditionally male-dominated fields, but that should never be a barrier to your growth or ambition. Embrace challenges as opportunities to think differently and push boundaries.
My early years in manufacturing were not easy, and there were moments when giving up felt like the easier option. However, persistence and determination made all the difference. It’s important to stay grounded in your purpose continually remind yourself why you chose this field and what you hope to achieve.
That sense of purpose, combined with resilience, will help you navigate challenges, overcome obstacles, and ultimately succeed.
