Ten minutes with Noor

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to a combination of perseverance, continuous learning, and the relationships I have built throughout my career. From starting as a Front Desk Agent while attending school full time to advancing into leadership and sales roles, I have always approached every opportunity with dedication, curiosity, and a willingness to grow.

A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and genuine passion for hospitality have been the foundation of my journey. I believe success comes from truly understanding the needs of others, whether it is creating memorable guest experiences, building trusted client partnerships, or supporting my teams. I have also been fortunate to learn from incredible mentors and colleagues who have shaped my leadership style and encouraged me to continue pushing beyond my comfort zone.

Most importantly, I attribute my success to resilience and the mindset of always striving to improve. Every challenge has been an opportunity to learn, adapt, and become a stronger professional. I remain committed to growth, building meaningful connections, and making a positive impact in the hospitality industry and the communities I serve.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I have ever received is to always be willing to learn, stay humble, and never underestimate the value of building genuine relationships. Early in my career, I learned that success is not only measured by the position you hold, but by the impact you make, the trust you earn, and the connections you create along the way.

I was encouraged to embrace every opportunity, even those outside of my comfort zone, because each experience helps develop new skills and prepares you for the next step in your journey. That advice has guided me through my transition from operations into sales and leadership roles, reminding me that every role provides an opportunity to grow.

I also believe in the importance of showing up with a positive attitude, being dependable, and treating every person with respect. Hospitality is a relationship-driven industry, and the relationships we build with guests, clients, colleagues, and our communities are often what create lasting success.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering the hospitality industry is to believe in themselves, embrace every opportunity to learn, and never be afraid to take up space. Hospitality is an industry built on relationships, resilience, and leadership, and there are endless opportunities for women who are willing to work hard and continue developing their skills.

Early in my career, I learned the importance of saying yes to new challenges, even when they felt outside of my comfort zone. Every role, every conversation, and every experience can become a stepping stone toward growth. Seek out mentors, surround yourself with people who inspire you, and never hesitate to advocate for your own accomplishments and career goals.

Most importantly, remember that your voice, perspective, and experiences are valuable. Lead with confidence, stay authentic to who you are, and focus on building meaningful relationships. Success in hospitality comes from combining professionalism with genuine care for others, and women have a unique ability to bring empathy, strength, and innovation to this industry.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

The hospitality industry is constantly evolving, and I believe one of the biggest challenges and opportunities right now is adapting to the changing expectations of today’s travelers while continuing to create meaningful, personalized experiences.

One of the greatest challenges is navigating shifts in business travel patterns, evolving client needs, and the increasing demand for flexibility, efficiency, and value. Hospitality professionals must continue to be agile, understand market trends, and find innovative ways to support both guests and business partners.

At the same time, these changes create tremendous opportunities. The industry has the ability to strengthen relationships through technology, data-driven strategies, and a more personalized approach to sales and service. For those of us in hospitality sales, this is an exciting time to build new partnerships, uncover emerging markets, and create solutions that bring value to our clients.

I believe the future of hospitality belongs to professionals who can combine technology with genuine human connection. While tools and trends will continue to evolve, the foundation of our industry will always be relationships, trust, and the ability to make people feel valued.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values that are most important to me in both my work and personal life are integrity, compassion, resilience, gratitude, and the commitment to continue growing through every experience life brings.

In my professional life, integrity and accountability guide the way I approach my work. Hospitality is built on trust and relationships, and I believe in showing up with authenticity, treating people with respect, and creating meaningful connections with clients, colleagues, and the communities I serve.

Resilience has become an especially meaningful value in my personal journey. Going through my cancer diagnosis and treatment was one of the most challenging experiences of my life, but it also taught me the power of strength, faith, gratitude, and perseverance. Becoming a cancer survivor and being cancer free has given me a renewed appreciation for every opportunity, every relationship, and every moment. It has reminded me to embrace challenges with courage and to approach life with a deeper sense of purpose.

My journey has strengthened my belief that we are defined not only by our accomplishments, but by how we overcome obstacles and how we support others along the way. I strive to lead with kindness, remain humble, inspire those around me, and make a positive impact both professionally and personally.
