About Noor

When I graduated college, I didn't quite know what I wanted to do, but I kept finding myself applying to roles within HR and recruiting. I started as just a coordinator scheduling interviews, and from there I moved up to a sourcer finding candidates, which really taught me a lot of skills with connecting with people and matching skills to roles. Then I became a college recruiter, connecting with students. But I wasn't quite finding exactly what I wanted to be doing long-term, so I started volunteering and helping out other teams like learning and development and inclusion and diversity. I switched to a marketing-focused role for talent acquisition where I got to work on websites and things like that, which really helped me bring out my creative side. I have a communication studies background with an art minor, so I'm really creative, and being able to bring that out within my work helped me keep my passions and keep focused and really excited about the work I was doing. There was a need in the inclusion and diversity space, and everyone knew I was super passionate about that, so I split my time between recruiting and inclusion and diversity, and then switched over there full-time. I have a big passion for making sure people can be their authentic selves at work through employee resource groups and inclusive policies. Every day is different - I support 11 employee resource groups, sit on their leadership calls to make sure they have everything they need, and manage our process for external diversity-focused awards. I also plan an employee resource group summit each year, bringing in external speakers and creating opportunities for our ERG leaders.
