About Norma P.

Norma P. Veridiano is a distinguished, board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist with over four decades of dedicated service to women’s health in New York. After receiving her medical degree in the Philippines in 1964, she completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology in Manhattan before transitioning to impactful roles across major Brooklyn institutions. Early in her career, she ran the Abnormal Pap Smear Clinic at Brookdale Hospital and went on to serve as Chairperson and Residency Program Director at Brookdale University Hospital and Medical Center, as well as holding leadership roles at The Brooklyn Hospital Center. Driven by a vision for patient-centered care, Dr. Veridiano became the founder and managing partner of Medwell Women's Medical Services and established both the Brooklyn Birthing Center—a pioneering freestanding facility focused on natural childbirth—and the Brooklyn Midwifery Group.

Beyond her extensive clinical work, Dr. Veridiano has continuously expanded her expertise to better advocate for equitable, accessible healthcare. She earned a Master of Healthcare Management (MHCM) from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and holds a Juris Doctor (J.D.) from Fordham University School of Law, with admissions to practice law in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut. Her commitment to excellence and policy reform in medicine is further reflected in her active memberships with professional organizations, including the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and the New York Academy of Medicine. Throughout her career, her work has been anchored in providing empathetic, high-quality care to all women, particularly those in underserved communities.

Outside of her medical and academic pursuits, Dr. Veridiano enjoys a rich personal life centered on continuous learning and simple pleasures. She is an avid gardener, passionate baker, and enthusiastic reader. Balancing the demands of leadership with her quiet creative outlets, she remains deeply devoted to nourishing both her community and her personal passions.
