About Dr. Nupur
I grew up in Jacksonville, FL and have been at the University of South Florida since my undergraduate education. I am multilingual, integrative, and a vocal advocate of evidence-based policy change in pursuit of making our lives more livable. In my free time she enjoys growing her food forest, dogs, dance, hiking, and poetry.

1. Neuromodulation and Interventional Psychiatry
I have contributed to clinical and research advances in the use of neuromodulation for treatment-resistant depression and geriatric populations. My work includes projects on the durability of TMS response in veterans with major depressive disorder and involvement in research protocols examining novel combinations of interventional treatments.

2. Dementia and Aging Psychiatry
My scholarship includes presentations on dementia prevention, societal impacts of the Baker Act on dementia patients, and complex late-onset psychiatric presentations, highlighting intersections between neurology, psychiatry, and geriatrics.

3. Substance Use and Psychopathology

01What do you attribute your success to?
I grew up in adverse environments that still provided rigorous opportunities for growth, and identifying sources of strength internally and amongst friends and extended family was a crucial step in shaping my analytical resource-aware mind.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Fake it till you make it is overrated.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Make sure your work makes sense and you follow mentors who see your heart.
