Nyla Aquino

Nyla Aquino is a dedicated student-athlete at the University of Georgia, where she is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice with a focus on Law Enforcement Administration. As a rising sophomore and member of the UGA Gymnastics team, Nyla balances her academic goals with a strong athletic commitment, bringing discipline, resilience, and leadership to both areas of her life. Through her role as a mentor with Athlete to Athlete, she works directly with younger gymnasts—offering guidance, skill development, and mental support to help them thrive in their sport.

Outside of her academic and athletic pursuits, Nyla is passionate about creative expression. She enjoys drawing, dancing, and immersing herself in the nostalgic sounds of 90s music. Her interests in social justice, animal welfare, and civic engagement reflect a compassionate and community-focused mindset. Whether she’s supporting teammates, mentoring youth, or volunteering for causes that matter to her, Nyla is driven by a genuine desire to make a positive impact wherever she goes.
