Her Interview
Ten minutes with Olga
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to being honest with myself about my strengths, limitations, and areas where I need to continue learning. I am not afraid to seek knowledge, ask for help, or rely on the expertise of others when necessary. Equally important is surrounding myself with honest people who provide constructive feedback, challenge my thinking, and create opportunities for growth. Those relationships have played a significant role in both my personal and professional development.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I have received is to not be afraid to be vulnerable. Vulnerability can be difficult, particularly as a woman in a leadership role, but it is essential for building authentic relationships, fostering trust, and creating meaningful connections with colleagues, teams, and stakeholders. Being open and genuine has helped me become a more effective leader.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I encourage young women to believe in themselves, trust their abilities, and never be afraid to speak up. Work hard, develop your expertise, and have confidence in the value you bring to the table. It is important to advocate for your ideas, ensure your voice is heard, and contribute confidently to conversations and decision-making processes. Your perspective matters, and sharing it can make a meaningful impact.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges is ensuring that ideas, recommendations, and expertise are heard and taken seriously, particularly in traditionally male-dominated industries such as fintech, banking, analytics, and financial services. At the same time, the rapid adoption of artificial intelligence presents both a significant opportunity and a challenge. Organizations must develop a strong internal understanding of AI to effectively evaluate solutions, collaborate with vendors, and implement technologies responsibly while maintaining operational excellence and compliance.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Honesty and transparency are the values that guide both my professional and personal life. I believe meaningful growth begins with being honest with yourself about where you are, what you know, and what you still need to learn. Extending that honesty and transparency to colleagues, teams, and partners helps build trust, strengthen relationships, encourage accountability, and create environments where people can succeed together.
