Her Story
About Olga
Olga Vega is a clinical social work professional based in Katy, Texas, United States, whose career has been shaped by a deep commitment to service, advocacy, and supporting vulnerable populations. She earned her Master of Social Work (MSW) from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Puerto Rico, an experience that reinforced her dedication to helping individuals and families navigate complex social and behavioral health systems. Her path into social work was personally inspired by her grandmother’s experience receiving hospice care, where she witnessed firsthand the impact a social worker can have on a family’s well-being.
Throughout her professional journey, Olga has built extensive experience in mental and behavioral health services, particularly working with immigrant children and families. She has served in progressively responsible roles across organizations including BCFS Health & Human Services, Compass Connections, Upbring, and currently serves as a Clinical Supervisor with Chicanos Por La Causa, Inc. (CPLC). In these roles, she has provided case management, clinical oversight, and therapeutic support, helping clients access essential resources, stabilize their circumstances, and build pathways toward long-term resilience.
Olga’s professional philosophy centers on the belief that healing and personal growth are not meant to be done alone, even when inner work is ultimately individual. She emphasizes integrity, accountability, compassion, and leadership in her practice, particularly when working with immigrant communities facing systemic barriers. Licensed as an LCSW, she considers passing her licensure exams while managing personal challenges and working in a second language among her most meaningful achievements, reflecting her perseverance and dedication to advancing mental health support for the communities she serves.
