Her Interview

Ten minutes with Olga

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to believing in myself. When you believe in yourself, you have more motivation to keep going, express your ideas and your opinion, your voice. Versus when you don't believe in yourself, you can even shut down yourself, and then you're not having the chances to shine.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best advice relating to career as well as personal life was that confidence is important. That has helped me to pitch my ideas better and being more successful in pitching, versus whenever I shy away and I overthink myself and think that might be not a smart idea, or stupid. Instead of doing that, just simply present what I think can be helpful, and having the confidence is important.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Advice to women in my industry, or perhaps in other industries as well, is confidence. The view and the perception of a woman, the way she looks, might not necessarily reflect her intellectual capabilities. But I would give this advice to women, to be confident and to express their ideas without doubt, without self-doubt. Simply being confident and never giving up. Never give up.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

Opportunities and challenges are somewhat similar with the artificial intelligence implementation into the processes, which is becoming really exciting to create and optimize processes. In terms of opportunities, to create even better tools compared to previous years. But challenges with all those innovations is how to control, regulate, how to pitch the ideas and proposals to leaders and convince them they are indeed going to be only successful, but not bringing up new risks, because with the new innovative projects and tools, new risks can surface.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

People helping people is really important because anyone, any person, can be in a situation that isn't ideal and will need help, support, or simply making a call to a friend. Collaboration and people helping people is really important in professional life, but also in the personal life.
