Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to tenacity, hard work, and persistence. Strong mentors and role models have guided my growth, while disciplined critical thinking and a commitment to continual learning have helped me navigate challenges effectively. My resilience, shaped by early life experiences, has also strengthened my determination to persevere and achieve meaningful goals.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I ever received was to never undersell myself. A former company president once told me that I know my value and what I bring to the table better than anyone else, and that I should always project confidence in my abilities—even when I feel uncomfortable.

That advice taught me that competence often comes before comfort. By pushing myself into challenging situations and believing in my worth, I’ve continued to grow both personally and professionally.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I would advise young women entering my industry to adopt a mindset of doing whatever it takes to get the job done. It’s important not to limit yourself by thinking something isn’t in your job description. Be willing to roll up your sleeves, contribute where needed, and work collaboratively with both your peers and leadership. I also believe it’s important to strive to be a strong role model. Aim to represent the best version of yourself and help set a standard that others can learn from and aspire to follow. Oh and always dress for the job you want, not the job you have!

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges in my field is ensuring products move efficiently from warehouses to more than 2,800 stores while protecting inventory and maintaining operations. With an operation of that size, unexpected issues—such as severe weather or equipment failures—can quickly disrupt store operations and require immediate solutions.

My role is focused on supporting the stores so they can continue serving customers. With nearly 3,000 locations, there is always a challenge somewhere, so it’s about responding quickly and ensuring stores have the support they need to operate effectively.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values most important to me in both my work and personal life are honesty and reliability—following through on what I say I will do. I believe trust is built by being dependable and consistent in both actions and words.

I also believe in understanding your strengths and limitations. Not everyone is naturally good at everything, so I focus on building and improving the skills that come most naturally to me. By strengthening those abilities, even by a small margin, I can make a greater impact and continue growing in a meaningful way.
