Ten minutes with Olivia
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to God, my mom who is very encouraging, patience, and confidence. My relationship with God has opened a lot of doors for me.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
You can do anything that you put your mind to. The mind is so powerful. Trusting God and having a positive attitude allows you to achieve your goals and dreams.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Take care of yourself because burnout is so real in my industry. Prioritize your mental health, have an outlet, practice self-care, and have a creative outlet.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Opportunities include making a difference by helping individuals with behavioral challenges function independently, personal and professional growth, and climbing the ladder toward becoming a behavior analyst in a great community. Challenges include burnout, which can be taxing without self-care, and feeling discouraged when behaviors are hard to address.
