About Olivia
Olivia Rath has nearly a decade of experience at the intersection of energy, sustainability, and mobility. After growing up in northern Michigan with a passion for the outdoors and exposure to the automotive industry, she earned an undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan in organizational studies and environmental studies. She began her career in consulting, focusing on trends like autonomy and electrification, before returning to the University of Michigan for an MBA and a Master's in Environmental Science through the Erb Institute. During graduate studies, she explored functions including venture capital, policy, strategy, and investment banking to accelerate decarbonization. Rath joined Walmart three years ago and has led the development of its customer-facing charging network, scaling it to approximately 80 live sites while defining the operating model and strategy. She has also volunteered with Growing Home in Chicago to support access to fresh produce in underserved communities.

01What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Don't be afraid to ask questions and find your voice. Don't be afraid to just be gentle. Trust your instinct and trust that you have something important to say and important to contribute.
