Her Story

About Olivia

I am Olivia Webb of Miris Creative. I started helping with marketing when my parents opened a second hair salon, falling in love with creating the brand and logo. I began freelance work before college and continued through my undergrad and master's. I focus on business growth, brand development, social media plans, and email campaigns for small family-owned businesses.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Olivia

01What do you attribute your success to?

The biggest part of my success is the continuous support from my family, friends, and the businesses that I work with. I am very driven and organized. If I set my mind to it, I am going to figure out how to do it and will not give up until both parties are happy.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

If you wouldn't take advice from them, don't take criticism from them. Block out people who don't hold value in your field or life.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Dream big, have those big goals, but don't be afraid, and don't forget to celebrate the little milestones along the way, because if you aren't focused on the journey, the end goal will never really feel satisfactory.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

The marketing field, especially digital marketing, is oversaturated. It is really hard for businesses to weigh out those who are serious and have experience versus those just doing it for a quick dollar. Everything changes quickly.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Humility, integrity, and honesty. You cannot be successful without thanking other people. People trust people, they don't trust businesses without a face, and honesty comes a lot into why that is.
