About Oluchi
Oluchi Aneke is a global trade compliance and regulatory professional with experience spanning international trade, customs, regulatory affairs, quality, and import/export operations. She currently serves as a Global Trade Compliance Specialist at TOTO USA, where she ensures shipments comply with CBP, EPA, and CPSC regulations, works with procurement, policy, and engineering teams, and engages custom brokers on proper valuation, country of origin, and HTS codes. Previously, she held regulatory and trade compliance roles at Diageo, and worked in consulting helping clients in pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, and food companies with regulatory compliance, FDA approvals, and border-free imports. She also worked with Boehringer for a few months. Her main areas of expertise are regulatory compliance, trade compliance, and supply chain. She holds a Master's degree in interdisciplinary studies from Georgia State University, combining science and business to understand product commercialization and regulatory requirements, and a bachelor's degree in biochemistry. Notable achievement includes working with a team to resolve a compliance issue that saved a previous company $60 million, earning the Value Creators Team award. She is a member of ISPE.

01What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Whatever you find doing, do it very well. This field requires you to be up and doing all the time. Read a lot, love to learn new things every single day, meet people, communicate effectively, negotiate, put your best foot forward, take initiatives and make decisions. Try always to be the best in what you want to do.
