Page Tofil, M.S., is a clinical quality professional and molecular and cellular biologist based in Richmond, Virginia, with approximately six years of experience in the biopharmaceutical field. She currently serves as a QA Auditor I at Thermo Fisher Scientific, where she conducts audits to ensure compliance with quality processes, regulatory guidelines, and client requirements. Her work builds on her previous experience as a scientist supporting vaccine development through mammalian cell culture, data documentation, analysis, and protocol development.

Page earned her bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of Vermont in 2019 and her Master of Science in Biology from William & Mary in 2022, with a concentration in Molecular and Cellular Biology and Genetics. During her graduate studies, she conducted research on the molecular and cellular characteristics of Resistance to Thyroid Hormone Syndrome and contributed to published research examining thyroid hormone receptor dynamics. Her scientific background includes cell culture, PCR, flow cytometry, microscopy, data analysis, scientific communication, and quality auditing.

Beyond her scientific career, Page is deeply committed to disability advocacy and is especially proud of her involvement with the PossAbilities Business Resource Group, where she supports disability education, leadership, mentorship, and workplace accommodations. 01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to focusing on things in my control and being able to take information that was helpful to me and sharing it with others.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve received is to look and dress the part, because presenting yourself professionally can make a strong and lasting impression.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering my industry is to keep trying, never give up, and find an area of research you’re truly passionate about. Most importantly, make sure you feel fulfilled by the work you’re doing.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

Listening to the critiques of the industry, listening to the patients and acting on it is the biggest opportunity in my field right now.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Integrity is one of the most important values in my work and personal life. I strive to do the right thing and treat others with fairness, respect, and honesty in every situation.
