01What do you attribute your success to?
I think it comes from defining what success means to you. Because everyone has a different definition of success, so it's finding what is success to you and then creating a life around that. So for me, I feel successful because I've lived life on my own terms and taken the path less traveled, but also I feel success is having spaciousness and taking care of your mind, body, and spirit. Attributing that is a lot of downtime to go inward to see what actually is success to you. Also just support and like-minded community around me. I've always learned from different mentors or different coaches in my life, and now it's like I think every coach needs a coach, and so I've always been grateful I've learned from a lot of other really powerful women in my life.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice that comes up is: make sure your role model or your leader, whoever is ahead or above you or who you're learning from or under, make sure they are an embodiment of the person you want to become.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Find what success means to you. And don't worry about the big picture. Worry about your day today, because how you spend your days is how you spend your life. So get present in your day-to-day, and make sure you're enjoying your day-to-day.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
There is a lot of misconceptions and blocks around how people view LinkedIn, especially for women. So overcoming helping women overcome limiting beliefs, changing their mindset around LinkedIn and its potential. The challenge more directly would be that people don't understand the potential of the platform, so it's hard to get women to see that they have a place there. And then it can be hard to actually rewire the mindsets of women who have these limiting beliefs or these fears.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Authenticity and balance.
