What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to intentional listening, emotional intelligence, compassion, and maintaining a grounded presence. Above all, I have a genuine desire to help people feel seen, heard, and restored during each treatment. My journey began in luxury hospitality at the Four Seasons and Gaylord in Colorado, where I honed my skills in guest care and service excellence. I then transitioned to managing a medical spa, gaining experience in client education, team leadership, and wellness-focused services. Today, as Lead Esthetician at Recovery Lounge and Spa, I provide facial services, educate clients, and conduct community outreach on nervous system healing. I have spent 16 years in esthetics, drawn to this field after suffering deeply with my own hormonal imbalances due to stress and lifestyle. I was passionate about learning how to help the body to heal naturally and restore equilibrium to my own nervous system and set out to learn as much as I could. My passion has grown through hands-on work in luxury hospitality, medical spas, and now recovery-focused wellness care. I specialize in esthetic services rooted in nervous system support, emphasizing holistic treatments that promote deep relaxation, emotional regulation, and long-term skin health. I am also proud to serve as a mentor to younger estheticians, helping shape their confidence, technique, and professional growth. Along the way, I have been recognized as Employee of the Month at both the Four Seasons and Gaylord, affirming my commitment to reliability, professionalism, and exceptional client care.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best advice I ever received was to remember that true leadership begins with compassion. I learned this lesson by watching women around me lead not with force or authority, but with understanding and empathy. They listened first, they nurtured second, and only then did they guide. What struck me was how this approach transformed the workplace: teams became more cohesive, workers felt valued and supported, and the atmosphere shifted from stress to collaboration. When people feel cared for, they bring their best selves forward, and that energy naturally flows to clients, who sense the difference immediately. In the end, compassion-driven leadership doesn’t just create happier employees — it builds stronger businesses, where growth is the organic result of a culture rooted in care.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would advise young women entering this industry to stay curious, build confidence gradually, and trust their intuition. Prioritize education, focus on continuous growth, and remember never to measure your success solely by comparison. Your energy and presence are just as important as your technical skill.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges in my field is the oversaturation of the med spa industry, where profit can sometimes overshadow purpose. However, I see tremendous opportunity in integrating trauma-informed care, holistic wellness, and nervous system support alongside traditional beauty treatments, creating a more meaningful and lasting impact for clients.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values most important to me in both my work and personal life are kindness, self-awareness, authenticity, and a commitment to community. I strive to foster personal growth and create judgment-free spaces, whether I’m interacting with clients, collaborating with colleagues, or spending time with loved ones.
