Her Story
About Paige
"I facilitate collaboration across my organization, primarily within the commercial teams, and make sure everyone is aligned cross-functionally across the broader org. That means keeping business goals clear and shared, and streamlining the processes and communications that help us hit them. Chief of Staff is a Swiss Army Knife kind of role. What I'm focused on genuinely depends on the day, and there's not much that falls outside my job description. I work with everyone in the company, from the executive team on down. Coming from being a nurse, chaos and context-switching have always felt like home."
Her Interview
Ten minutes with Paige
01What do you attribute your success to?
“I attribute most of my success to the willingness to be flexible and adaptable, to push myself out of my comfort zone. This really took flight in my role as a travel nurse and then extended as I entered the world of startup tech that was totally foreign to me. I had no formal business training, I didn't even know how to work Slack when I first logged in! I think staying curious throughout my career and remaining open to opportunities is what really can make anyone successful in any area.”
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
“Focus on the skills and experience you are gaining, not the title.
Trust your gut, that's just as much a part of your expertise as anything else.”
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
“Don't be afraid to speak truth to power - but be professional, kind, and solution-oriented when doing so.
Stay curious, find new ways to lean in and figure out how to do something you've never done every single day.
Give and receive direct feedback often.
Take as little as possible personally.
Advocate for yourself, no one else is going to do it as well as you.”
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
“The gap between technology availability in the world and healthcare's adoption of it - it's often said to be almost seventeen years.”
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
“Honesty, balance, make the best of all things.”
