Her Story
About Paige
I am a recent UNLV graduate in journalism and media studies who transferred from broadcast journalism at the University of Memphis. I interned with the Las Vegas Aces WNBA team planning community events focused on Title I kids, mental health, and teacher appreciation. This experience taught me the importance of community and inspired my goal to work in community management or directorship roles. Currently based in Dallas, I work as an account executive marketing small businesses on Yelp while seeking involvement in local literacy and education nonprofits.

Ten minutes with Paige
01What do you attribute your success to?
My success comes from my family, especially my parents, grandparents, and their emphasis on education and achievement. My dad has his PhD and was president of a college, my mom worked in sales, and seeing their accomplishments and support has instilled in me the drive to be the best I can be and go for things even when scary.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
My dad gave me the best advice: do what you love and the money will come. He emphasized it's not about making six figures right away but pursuing what fulfills you, and the money will follow. This has helped me stay passionate and avoid unfulfilling paths.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
It's totally okay to be figuring it out. You don't have to know exactly whether you want to work in sports media, radio, TV, writing or editorial. It's okay to try everything and dip your feet in different areas to discover what you love so you can have an enjoyable career.
