I lead overall strategy and customer operations for Walmart Business, our B2B e-commerce platform. Previously I spent 14 years at McKinsey driving impact for clients. My days involve long-term strategic decisions on customers to serve and short-term focus on operations and satisfaction. I am customer-obsessed and impact-oriented.

01What do you attribute your success to?
A lot of it is to the family. I have a lot of support from my family, especially my parents, who brought me up believing that women can be and should be as successful as men. Also cultivating relationships with great mentors and leaders along the way.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
If you are very clear about the ultimate purpose of the role you are in, the bumps along the way don't matter. Also, you may come out of a meeting with some people unhappy, and a lot of the time it's about them, not you, so take it on the chin and move on.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Speak up, and speak up more often. Believe that you've earned your place in the room, and from that place of strength, don't feel like you have to earn your place.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Automation is the next frontier, whether it's AI in the way we work, but also automation overall in how retail and supply chain works. It's a great horizon to be on.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Customer is number one, I'm very customer-obsessed and impact-oriented. On personal level, values are all around people, filling their bucket and showing up to make their lives better.
