Her Interview
Ten minutes with Pallavi
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to my ability to remain calm and adaptable in the face of constant change and uncertainty. Throughout my career, I have successfully launched products that have moved into production, generated value, and delivered measurable business outcomes. During challenging or chaotic situations, I focus on maintaining a clear and controlled mindset, which allows me to see opportunities and solutions that others may overlook. My willingness to embrace change, adapt quickly, and guide teams through ambiguity has been instrumental in helping me navigate complex environments and consistently deliver results.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I have received is to "read the room and be authentic." Understanding the dynamics of a situation, recognizing the perspectives of others, and knowing when and how to communicate effectively are critical leadership skills. At the same time, it is important to remain true to your values and opinions. As a woman in technology and product leadership, I have learned that authenticity builds credibility and trust. I believe in speaking up, leaning into opportunities, and confidently sharing my perspective while remaining aware of the environment around me.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice is to stay curious, continue learning, and always keep your skills relevant. Technology, product management, and innovation evolve rapidly, and success requires a commitment to continuous growth. Rather than relying on a single skill set, invest in expanding your knowledge and understanding emerging trends. Most importantly, focus on the business problem you are trying to solve. When building products, there is rarely one correct answer. By maintaining a clear understanding of the customer and business challenges, you will uncover opportunities and solutions that others may not immediately recognize. Stay confident, embrace change, and never stop learning.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges in product management is influencing stakeholders who may not yet be ready to embrace change or adopt a product-driven mindset. Often, innovation requires organizations to rethink established processes and challenge conventional approaches. Convincing others to support new ideas can be difficult when they are uncomfortable with disruption. At the same time, this challenge creates tremendous opportunity. Product leaders have the ability to bridge the gap between customer needs, business objectives, and technology capabilities. Success comes from identifying the right problems to solve, understanding customer priorities, and determining how quickly to iterate and deliver value while maintaining alignment across stakeholders.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Integrity and humility are the values that guide both my professional and personal life. As a leader, I believe it is essential to act with honesty, transparency, and consistency in every decision. Equally important is remaining humble and recognizing that success is always the result of collective effort. No meaningful accomplishment is achieved alone. I strive to lead with integrity, respect the contributions of others, and create an environment where people feel valued, empowered, and motivated to do their best work. These principles have helped me build strong teams, meaningful relationships, and lasting impact throughout my career.
