Her Story
About Pamela
I got interested in landscaping while caregiving for my disabled mother after my dad passed. I left my education job to care for her and started landscaping her yard, learning about soil, ecosystems, and native plants. After she passed about 8 years ago, I took a job at Sweet Bay Nursery in Parrish, a native plant nursery, where I still work 2 days a week. My background is a master's in fine art and interdisciplinary art, transitioning from painting to eco art and landscaping as the oldest form of eco-art. My yard now has about 170 species of native plants, and I design landscapes, microforests, and butterfly gardens as a hobby while educating others through yard tours and presentations.
