Pamela Cerrud-Ahern is a dedicated and detail-oriented professional with extensive experience in international education, academic affairs, and program coordination. Originally from Panama, Pamela brings a global perspective and a deep commitment to fostering cross-cultural exchange. She currently serves as the Program Coordinator for the CAPT Paul Cuffe Global Institute at Massachusetts Maritime Academy, where she leads initiatives that support international students, organize cultural programs, and strengthen the Academy’s global partnerships. Her role also includes serving as a Designated School Official (DSO) and Alternate Responsible Officer (ARO), providing vital guidance to F-1 and J-1 students navigating complex immigration regulations while promoting an inclusive academic environment.

Throughout her career, Pamela has demonstrated a talent for collaboration and program development. She has coordinated high-impact programs such as faculty-led study abroad experiences, international teaching exchanges, and leadership initiatives like the Cadet Leadership Orientation and WorldBoston/IVLP. Her work enhances intercultural learning, fosters global citizenship, and supports the professional development of both students and faculty. Pamela’s meticulous approach ensures that students from diverse backgrounds feel welcomed, supported, and empowered to succeed academically and personally.

Beyond her work at the Academy, Pamela has held roles in administrative support, purchasing coordination, and bilingual executive assistance, demonstrating adaptability and a strong work ethic across industries. She is fluent in Spanish and actively engages with Spanish-speaking communities, further extending her impact as a bridge for international engagement. Pamela is also committed to professional development, holding certifications in international education, agile leadership, and diversity and inclusion, all of which inform her work in creating meaningful, transformative educational experiences.
