Her Interview
Ten minutes with Pamela
01What do you attribute your success to?
I've had a lot of great people on the way, as well as maybe not so great people, because I believe every situation and every experience you can learn something from. As long as you are doing your best, and people notice, somebody will notice.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Never be afraid to learn something new. And never underestimate the value you bring to a room. Because sometimes as women, we think, you know, oh, what I'm saying doesn't matter, or oh, it's not that important, but never underestimate yourself.
03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
There's an old mentality of how things used to be, but with supply chain and procurement, it's ever-evolving, so that can be a challenge sometimes if you don't have people that are willing to accept continuous improvement. But at the same time, that's what's great about it. There's so many things that the industry is doing now. There's so many different applications to make your job smoother, to give you more accurate data.
04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
I have to always be in a space of integrity. If it doesn't seem right, feel right, I have questions, because I won't compromise my integrity for anyone. It's part of my faith base, and that's how I move.
