Her Interview

Ten minutes with Pamela

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to the values and work ethic instilled in me by my parents. My mother taught me accountability by reminding me that when something goes wrong, I should first look at myself and take responsibility, while my father emphasized the importance of sisterhood, supporting others, and building meaningful relationships. Their guidance, combined with my dedication and perseverance, has shaped both my personal and professional life. My children have also been a constant source of inspiration, motivating me to continue growing, pursuing my goals, and creating opportunities for the future.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I have ever received is that the greatest investment I can make is investing in myself. That advice encouraged me to continue my education, earn my bachelor's and MBA, expand my professional knowledge, and embrace lifelong learning. I believe that personal and professional development creates opportunities that no one can take away from you, and I strive to continue building my skills and preparing myself for future leadership opportunities.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I encourage young women to always show up as the best version of themselves and trust their instincts. Know that you are worthy, capable, and deserving of every opportunity that comes your way. Believe in the value you bring, take ownership of your decisions, and never allow self-doubt to define your potential. Confidence, accountability, and authenticity will help you build a successful and meaningful career.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the greatest challenges in my field is navigating bureaucracy and the barriers that can limit career advancement within organizations and during external hiring processes. Despite these challenges, I believe it is important to maintain a growth mindset, continue developing professionally, and remain patient while pursuing new opportunities. Every challenge presents an opportunity to strengthen my skills, expand my experience, and prepare for the next stage of my career.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Integrity is the foundation of everything I do because I believe it is reflected in every decision and action. I also value taking ownership and responsibility, continuously investing in my personal and professional growth, serving others with selflessness, and contributing meaningful value wherever I work. I strive to lead by example, remain accountable, and make a positive impact on my team and the people I serve.
