Her Story

About Pamela

I've always been interested in real estate, and I had the opportunity to join Matthew Huckin in 2019-2020. He mentored me and taught me so much of what I needed to know to get rolling, and the skills required seemed to be a good fit for me. I've been trying to educate myself and have joined the CCIM organization, which stands for Certified Commercial Investment Member. I took classes for 4 years with them and just completed my designation in April by flying to Philadelphia to take the comprehensive exam. Currently I work in brokerage in commercial real estate, helping my clients whether they're looking to develop a property or find a new location for their business. I help with the sales or leases. I like the types of deals that I work on - I've always liked land and the asset class categories that I get to work on with commercial properties. I'm also known for heading the Natcar Independent Broker Alliance, which is a group of independent brokers that meet monthly through the North Texas Commercial Association of Realtors, and I help bring in guest speakers monthly.

01What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

If she wanted to go into commercial real estate, there are a few great courses that I would recommend through the CCIM organization that give a good overview of what's involved. I'd probably offer to have lunch and answer any questions.
