Her Story
About pamela
Pamela Montoya serves as an estimator at Carter Lumber in South Carolina. She has been with the company for one year and specializes in construction estimating and building materials. Her key responsibilities involve completing takeoffs for all sales representatives so they can prepare quotes and obtain numbers for buildings and constructions. She also reviews all plans and blueprints in detail. Montoya's primary language is Spanish, and she is the only woman working in her area, which she finds stressful at times. Her current challenge is to learn more about construction, including architecture and structural aspects, as she learned everything in English and must adapt to different measurements in inches and codes.
