Prior to founding ICONS Travel Network, Pamela spent over 14 years at AMResorts, where she co-founded AMResorts Meetings & Incentives and helped scale the brand from 7 to 65 resorts globally. She spearheaded innovative programs, orchestrated hundreds of high-impact events, and drove nearly $1 billion in cumulative MICE revenue. I attribute my success to over three decades of dedication, perseverance, and strategic thinking in the meetings and incentives industry. Leading the development of the AM Resorts Meetings and Incentives Division allowed me to combine innovation, client care, and brand partnership, while continuously learning new skills like AI, CRM development, and financial management—culminating in an award-winning division that set industry standards.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve ever received is to work hard, lead by example, foster camaraderie, and always pay it forward. This guidance has shaped the way I approach leadership and collaboration throughout my career.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering this industry is to lead with purpose and passion—remember that leadership extends beyond the boardroom. Focus on making a meaningful impact, give back to the communities you serve, and enjoy what you do; the passion will guide the rest.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The biggest challenge in my field right now is sourcing experiential and unique destinations that go beyond the offerings of large commercial brands.
