About Pandora
Pandora Jones serves as the Counseling Secretary and Registrar at a middle school in Parkville, Maryland. With 19 years of experience in education and 9 years in her current role, she oversees enrollments, withdrawals, and related documentation for more than 1300 students while also managing fraudulent enrollments and administrative letters. As the union building representative for support staff, she acts as their advocate by handling complaints, providing support when staff face issues with administration, and engaging in lobbying efforts on their behalf, which she identifies as her greatest passion within the field. Jones began her career as a temporary employee and advanced through dedication and enjoyment of the work. She previously mentored new hires for two years as part of a pilot program, training them on the responsibilities of the position. Recognized by colleagues and supervisors for her comprehensive knowledge and ability to manage all duties effectively, she takes pride in her strong work ethic and reputation for showing up, speaking up, and completing tasks. Her advice to young women entering the industry emphasizes the importance of being strong-willed and doing one's best.

01What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I think the most important thing right now is to be a strong-willed person. You have to be a strong-willed female and just go in strong, and do what you can do, and know that you're putting in your best, and that's it.
