Paola Marcial

Paola Marcial serves as office manager at a truck repair shop in the diesel repair industry. She has been in the field for a little over a year and a half and oversees employee management along with accounts payable and accounts receivable. Her daily duties also include billing, customer sign-ups and scheduling, occasional parts assistance, and supporting overall operations while working independently on a self-built schedule from 8 to 5. Paola is currently a student pursuing a bachelor's degree in business administration with a concentration in marketing and expects to graduate next year in August. She entered the role through a personal connection that valued her computer experience and business studies, and she appreciates the growth opportunities and independence the position provides. She values contributing to an industry that keeps America running through trucking. In the future, she aims to pursue marketing work that allows for travel. As a young woman in a male-dominated field, she initially faced challenges adapting from female-dominated environments but grew professionally by establishing boundaries and understanding coworker dynamics. She also built the company's website, which has helped attract new customers, and she values networking and learning from other women in their careers.
