Her Interview
Ten minutes with Passion
01What do you attribute your success to?
Being able to read the room and build relationships with students from the beginning, creating a safe community and space where kids feel comfortable asking for help. I show up to their events like basketball games and football, which helps me understand the whole child and see them succeed.
02What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Challenges with people coming into the profession without traditional training, struggling with pedagogy, understanding why they are teaching, and classroom management because they are not understanding the kids.
