Patricia Calderon is a dedicated academic advisor and student success advocate based in Hampstead, New Hampshire. With over a decade of professional experience across healthcare, finance, and human resources, Patricia brings a wealth of knowledge and compassion to her work in higher education. She is bilingual in English and Spanish and has a strong commitment to supporting first-generation and diverse learners, helping them navigate academic challenges and achieve their educational goals. Currently, she is pursuing a Master of Science in Higher Education Administration at Southern New Hampshire University, with an anticipated graduation in December 2025.
Throughout her career, Patricia has developed expertise in academic support, inclusive advising, and student-centered service. Her previous roles, including positions at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Massachusetts General Hospital, and BJ’s Wholesale Club, allowed her to cultivate skills in administration, mentorship, and organizational excellence. These experiences inform her holistic approach to student success, emphasizing empathy, cultural humility, and effective communication.
As a first-generation student herself, Patricia is deeply invested in creating equitable opportunities for underrepresented students. What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to my lifelong journey—coming to the United States from El Salvador as an orphan at the age of nine and working hard to earn my Master’s in Higher Education—so I can make a meaningful difference in the lives of students as a future academic advisor.

The best career advice I’ve ever received is that I can achieve anything I set my mind to.

My advice to young women entering this field is to believe in yourself—you can and you will be successful if you always keep looking forward.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges and opportunities in my field right now is finding the right employment opportunity as a recent graduate from SNHU to begin my career as an Academic Advisor.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The most important values in my work and personal life are putting God first, as He has guided me since childhood, and honoring the foundation of faith and discipline I received attending a Catholic school while my parents were alive.
