Her Interview
Ten minutes with Patricia
01What do you attribute your success to?
It comes partly from my dad, who had his own printing business in Manhattan. I worked with him at a young age, going into the city to help him out, and I saw that he really liked being able to figure it all out and get it running, and make a success of it. That kind of inspired me.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Asking for help isn't giving up, it's refusing to give up. When struggling, go to people who know or that you'd like to be like or admire and ask for help. Most of the time, they're willing to give it. So many people will give up rather than struggle and try to improve.
03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
In graphic design, there's downward pressure on what I can charge because people can get it cheaper through AI and other methods. In finance, people are very misled about finances and need to be educated, as they're not getting it from many other companies.
