About Patricia

Patricia Kendall serves as Principal Value Consulting at Iterable, an AI marketing communication platform, a role she has held for approximately four and a half years. With more than 25 years of experience in her field and over 20 years specifically in consulting and agency work, she partners with prospects and customers to identify value from their investments by understanding their business models and marketing strategies, mapping them to platform capabilities, and modeling potential ROI and revenue growth. Kendall holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, which she applies daily in customer interactions, strategy mapping, and persuasion. She is a continuous learner who has earned a Prompt Engineering Certification through Vanderbilt University as well as industry certifications from Google, Adobe, and Microsoft. Among her notable achievements, Kendall served as a keynote speaker at her company's revenue kickoff in Palm Springs. She attributes her success to continuous learning and collaboration, always seeking perspectives from colleagues of all ages. Kendall values integrity above all, ensuring actions consistently match words in both professional and personal spheres. She volunteers as a local election judge, a role she has held since around 2020. In advice to young women entering the industry, she emphasizes building a supportive tribe of female mentors and colleagues rather than competing as if only one spot exists.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Patricia

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to continuous learning and collaboration. I am always learning from other people, even those younger than me, and I make sure to listen to their perspectives and incorporate what works. Continuous curiosity and learning lends itself a lot to the marketing space.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I ever received was from a boss during reorgs when we were short-staffed: sometimes you have to let things break or get really bad before your leadership will step in and see the problem and fix it. If you keep fixing it, they don't see the problem. It is uncomfortable for me as a problem solver, but it has been effective over the years.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I would advise young women to build your tribe over time. Collect female mentors and colleagues, make time for virtual coffee, have a group who has your back. Champion those women and help them succeed because then they will pull you up with them. Do not compete as if there is only one spot for a female.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

The biggest challenges right now include some gains women have made going backwards in the tech space. I have seen women hiding pregnancies until two weeks before due date despite good benefits. Also, a study showed men using AI are seen as creative early adopters while women are viewed as not doing the work. We still do not have equal pay.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Integrity is most important to me in both work and personal life. Your actions should match your words consistently. I always watch for actions to follow the words, and I hold my kids to that as well.
