Her Story
About Patricia
Patricia Pingitore has worked in healthcare since approximately 1994. She spent five years in nursing with geriatrics and five years in recreation therapy before combining the two to create the role of Healthcare Beautician. This position provides healing modalities for individuals with mental or physical challenges who cannot care for themselves. She developed the Look Good Feel Good Heal Good program, which emphasizes that feeling good at a cellular level aids healing of mind, body, and soul. Pingitore created the first training manual for beauticians entering the healthcare industry and established the first and only Alzheimer's-friendly salons in nursing homes, incorporating therapies such as music, animal, and doll therapy along with memory tables. Her educational background includes an Associate's degree in psychology and an LPN license from County Community College. She is certified as a Death Doula, holds Reiki Level 2 certification, and is a Certified Activities Director. In addition to her professional work, she serves as secretary and manages public relations for the Daughters of the American Revolution, Flag House Chapter, and volunteers her grooming services for free to those in need while supporting various thrift stores and medical missions.
Her Interview
Ten minutes with Patricia
01What do you attribute your success to?
Compassion for humanity, to make life better for people that are in unfortunate circumstances. I just want people to love themselves, to be healed and whole. So it's for the love of humanity that is my inspiration. People inspire me to be who I am today. Just loving the unlovable.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
When you do what you love, you never have to work. You have to have a passion project. Find your passion and make that your career, your passion project.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
You would really have to have a compassionate heart to go into this industry... you'd have to have, like, a healer in you. You'd have to be a healer, a natural healer. Because if you're not a healer, it's not a good industry for you. It's a compassion and healing industry, and you want to be able to heal people.
