Her Story

About Patryce

Patryce Curtis, M.S., is a healthcare and public health evaluation leader with more than 20 years of consulting experience helping healthcare organizations, government agencies, research firms, and nonprofit organizations use data to improve programs, strengthen systems, and advance population health outcomes. As a Principal Consultant at PC Eval Consulting, LLC, she specializes in program evaluation, data analysis, performance measurement, strategic planning, and mixed-methods research. Her work focuses on translating complex findings into practical insights that help leaders make informed strategic and operational decisions.

Throughout her career, Patryce has led evaluation and research initiatives across federal, state, and community settings, including projects involving healthcare access, tobacco control, health equity, substance abuse prevention, and program implementation. She has developed evaluation frameworks, surveys, interview guides, logic models, and performance measurement systems while leading stakeholder engagement, data collection, analysis, and reporting. Her ability to build trust, manage complex projects, and connect evidence with implementation has made her a valued partner to organizations seeking measurable and sustainable impact. Her professional contributions have also earned recognition, including inclusion in Marquis Who’s Who in America for Evaluation Consultancy.

Beyond her consulting practice, Patryce is the founder of the Public Health & Evaluation Network (PHEN), a professional community designed to connect public health and evaluation professionals with career opportunities, resources, professional development, and networking. Having recognized how fragmented career resources can be across the field, she created PHEN to make it easier for professionals to discover opportunities and build meaningful connections. With thousands of professionals engaging with the network, Patryce continues to expand her impact beyond individual consulting engagements by strengthening the broader public health workforce and creating spaces where professionals can learn, connect, and advance their careers.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Patryce

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to God, my family and friends, and the people I’ve met along the way. Their support, along with the knowledge, resources, and opportunities I’ve gained through networking, has shaped who I am today.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve received is to be excellent in everything I do. No matter how small the task, I give it my full effort because you never know who is watching or where the opportunity may lead.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering the industry is to take advantage of available resources, build a strong network, and learn from other business owners. Consider free business development programs or startup cohorts for hands-on guidance. If starting a business, also ensure you have financial stability and maintain your full-time job until the business generates consistent cash flow.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges in public health and evaluation is the highly competitive job market, with professionals often expected to have experience before they can gain opportunities. Funding changes have also affected federal programs and consulting firms. At the same time, the rise of AI is reshaping how applications and resumes are evaluated, creating both challenges and new opportunities.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Integrity and honesty are the values that matter most to me. I believe in being a person of my word, doing what I say I will do, and leading with honesty and integrity in both my work and personal life.
