What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to a combination of opportunity, mentorship, and a commitment to paying it forward. My entry into the diversity field began when the head of HR at AAA recognized my potential and invited me to join the diversity team, opening the door to a career I am deeply passionate about. I have also been fortunate to have a long-standing mentor in Tony Wilson, who guided me early in my HR career. Inspired by his support, I strive to offer informal mentoring to others, helping them navigate their own paths and fostering growth for the next generation of leaders.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering this field is to build and maintain your confidence while actively seeking out both formal and informal mentorship opportunities. Learning from those who have navigated the industry before you can provide valuable guidance, open doors, and help you develop the skills and perspective needed to succeed.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values that guide me in both my work and personal life include collaboration, empowerment, and celebrating small, everyday wins. I find great fulfillment in consulting with colleagues, helping them strengthen inclusive leadership skills, and supporting them as they navigate challenges like imposter syndrome. Creating meaningful impact through these efforts, no matter how small, is what drives my professional journey and personal growth.
