Her Story

About Paula

Paula Carson is an entrepreneur, author, musician, and community support advocate based in Snowflake, Arizona. She spent approximately 35 years as a professional horse trainer and rider, showing horses and building her experience in the equestrian industry. Her career has also included work in design and operating Got Rocks Ranch in Cave Creek, Arizona, experiences that shaped her connection to animals, creativity, and community.

Following significant personal challenges and a major life transition, Paula turned to writing as a way to reflect on her experiences and share what she had learned. She authored Crashing to Ascension and compiled Granddaddy’s Writings, preserving and sharing her grandfather’s work. Her journey eventually led her to establish Helpnetic Travelers and develop Helpnetic House, a community-centered space designed to provide opportunities for connection, conversation, and peer support.

Through Helpnetic House, Paula has introduced Talk Shop, a free group gathering where people can discuss topics openly and without judgment. She is also a certified peer support professional and is committed to creating welcoming spaces where people can connect and support one another. Alongside her community work and writing, Paula continues to perform music with Reconnection Mountain, a duo offering acoustic performances ranging from country and classic rock to easy listening, bringing together her creative interests and commitment to the local White Mountains community.
