Her Interview

Ten minutes with Paula

01What do you attribute your success to?

My success comes from my family. My great-grandmother taught me about caregiving and work ethic from a young age. My mom showed tenacity and perseverance through challenges, teaching us to rise above. My dad, a hard-working farmer, instilled a strong work ethic early on. I've also been blessed with amazing women leaders who mentored and promoted me throughout my career.

02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Don't be afraid to experience different types of care. Follow what calls to your heart and seek out disparities in care. Branch out, experience other things, and try to help wherever you can. Don't let intimidation run your life - tackle what you feel called to help with.
