About Paula
Paula Johnson operates her own travel business affiliated with Evolution Travel, where she specializes in senior travel and also offers multi-generational and cultural connection experiences. She trains others on senior travel topics once a month, creating engaging sessions such as mobility-focused workshops where she dresses in character. Johnson completed a capstone project on multi-generational housing and incorporates these principles into her travel offerings to foster intergenerational learning and support. As a certified life coach who trained at the Brave Thinking Institute, she facilitates a weekly women's life group at the nonprofit TRS Transitional Remedy Solutions, for which she developed the curriculum covering topics like finances, stress management, and self-care. She also provides individualized coaching under the name Royal Renewal. Johnson volunteers extensively, having served as regional manager for Divas in Power and contributing to Girl Scouts of America, Humble Creations, and her local church. She attributes her drive to her grandmother, her daughter Anne, and her father, with a focus on supporting the next generation and women who have experienced abuse.

01What do you attribute your success to?
My grandmother originally. Next, my daughter Anne and my dad. I've always wanted the best for my daughter and never wanted her to lack in anything. I also attribute it to helping the next generation and any woman that has been abused in any capacity so it doesn't continue, and to culturally connected things because you can learn so much by going to something you've never gone to before.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
God gave the dream to you, and everybody else can't see the vision. It's your vision. They don't have to see it. You just have to work towards it to make it happen. For a long time I didn't listen to that, and it makes so much sense.
