Her Interview

Ten minutes with Paulina

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to creating teams, believing in those teams and processes, continuous mentorship of my team, and staying on top of what I need to know through societies and skill set training.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

Contributing is so important to success. Being able to set aside the competitive component and distribute with colleagues, creating focus groups to share ideas, and mentorships for those that aspire to be leaders are so important.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Find their passion and the one key component of the field that they feel passionate about and can create change in. From there, learn from advice and seek mentorship.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

The biggest challenge is communication with an overload of fake news and social media that requires defining and researching before validating. The greatest opportunity is AI, which will change the field, and the chance to own it, become a driver, and innovate with it.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Honesty and transparency, which are key in revenue cycle. Loyalty on a personal level, and being a human by realizing we have to be friendly neighbors to each other and understanding human connection.
