About Pauline
Pauline Sousonis serves as a Biblical Counselor in Delaware and throughout the tristate area after recently relocating from Florida. She earned her Certification as Biblical Counselor designation through the Association Certified Biblical Counselor’s worldwide program following a rigorous three year process involving three phases - observation, teaching, and application under sponsoring pastors. Her practice focuses on women and high school girls, including grief counseling and small-group facilitation, and she extends her ministry through free individual sessions and by administering an online Bible reading group for Christian Women of New Jersey. After being laid off from a prior role (33 years) she prayed for direction on her purpose as a woman of faith and pursued certification to benefit her community. She approaches her work with humility, recognizing that those she counsels often teach her as much as she teaches them, and she emphasizes staying grounded in scripture and maintaining an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ.

01What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
It's less about me and more about other people. They teach me more than I teach them. I need to be teachable myself and come from a place of humility rather than thinking I know it all. The more I know, the less I know.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Define how she believes she got the calling because the foundation is very important. Stay open-minded, never stop learning, stay in the scriptures, be grounded in the scriptures, put Jesus Christ first and foremost, and have an intimate relationship with Jesus to have wisdom and discernment.
