Her Story

About Payal

I am a pediatrician operating four medical practices in Florida, driven by my love of working with children, teaching, and helping others. My journey began with undergraduate studies in New Jersey, followed by medical school at Ross University in the Caribbean, and residency training at Jersey Shore. Beyond my medical practice, I am deeply committed to community wellness and women's empowerment through my Body Soul Fit platform and Beyond Bold, a women's empowerment and wellness program. I have received community honors for serving my community and hold ambulatory care certification. I also pursue personal passions including modeling and other creative endeavors that bring me self-satisfaction. My work spans multiple aspects of wellness, from pediatric care to dance fitness, all aimed at bettering the community and empowering women.

Ten minutes with Payal

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to hard work and dedication, along with the incredible support from my parents and family members. Their encouragement has been instrumental in helping me achieve what I have today.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I've ever received is simple but powerful: do it on your own, and do it right. That's really all there is to it. Be the leader, not the follower, and take ownership of your path.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

You will question yourself a billion times, but just keep on doing it, and you'll learn a lot as you move forward. You have to build upon yourself. You're going to doubt yourself, but you need to do what's true to you, and that's essential.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

The biggest challenges in my field right now are probably dealing with the headaches from insurance companies and the changing face of medicine. The insurance issues have become one of the most frustrating aspects of practicing medicine today.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Balance is the most important value to me. I strive to create harmony between my work and personal life, making sure that one is not taking over the other. It's definitely something I work toward, even though it's not easy to achieve.
