Her Story
About Pema
I am an accounting, finance, and project management professional with over a decade of experience in accounts payable, financial analysis, and operational process improvement across the healthcare sector, currently serving as Accounts Payable Manager at Stanford Health Care, a role I have held since November 2021, where I lead accounts payable operations and support financial excellence at one of the nation's leading healthcare institutions. Prior to this role, I served as Lead Senior AP Analyst for over a year and a half, where I managed AP operations and drove process improvements.
Before joining Stanford Health Care, I spent over two years at Kaiser Permanente as a Financial Analyst and Project Manager, where I analyzed and performed daily audits to improve front office operations, provided complex administrative and project support to department heads, tracked and analyzed monthly reports, developed project plans, acted as a liaison and facilitator, and developed training programs and job aids for different levels of audiences.
Earlier in my career, I served as Accounts Receivable Specialist at Able Services for three months, where I prepared daily aging reports, processed and applied incoming payments, performed reconciliation of daily deposits, and contacted customers regarding questionable payments. I also served as Finance Reconciliation Specialist at Penumbra, Inc. for eight months, where I matched invoices with purchase orders and shipping documents, entered and validated purchase order data, and ensured invoices and expense reports were processed accurately. I also served as Resource Management Assistant at USDA-FSIS for over a year, where I prepared and reviewed monthly analysis on operational expenses, reconciled T&E expenses, and responded to requests for information using law enforcement databases.
Across my career in accounts payable, financial analysis, and project management, my work has been driven by a commitment to financial accuracy, operational efficiency, and delivering results that support organizational success. Whether I am managing accounts payable at a major healthcare institution, analyzing financial data, or leading project initiatives, I bring a detail-oriented approach, strong analytical skills, and a dedication to excellence that has defined my career. I am proud of the work I have done throughout my career and excited to continue advancing financial operations at Stanford Health Care.
