Her Story
About Phallyn
Phallyn King is the owner and operator of 1684 Venue Resort, a wedding and event venue located in Weber Falls, Oklahoma. After spending 15 years in medical sales with Medline Industries, she decided to pursue entrepreneurship and build a business alongside her husband. Their venture began with the purchase of German timber frames, which they used to construct a spacious wedding and event venue. After transitioning out of corporate America, Phallyn dedicated herself full-time to developing and managing the resort, creating a welcoming destination for weddings and special occasions.
Phallyn brings a background in sales, customer relationships, and business development to her entrepreneurial journey. She earned a bachelor's degree in mass communications from Northwestern Oklahoma State University and holds bar certifications and a health code event certificate that support her venue operations. Her approach to business centers on believing in herself, providing personalized service, and creating meaningful experiences for couples. Rather than simply offering a venue, she and her team focus on hands-on support to help clients bring their special celebrations to life.
Outside her professional responsibilities, Phallyn values family, community involvement, and an active lifestyle. She and her husband have been married for 15 years and have a daughter. Together, they also operate a ranch with approximately 150 head of cattle and run a meat business serving restaurants, daycares, and individual customers. In her free time, Phallyn enjoys working out, coaching her daughter's softball and basketball teams, and participating in community activities, including the annual Angel Tree and Christmas concert with Santa.

Ten minutes with Phallyn
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to believing in myself and my ability to get things done, while creating meaningful experiences for our couples. I make it a priority to ensure they feel valued and supported, going beyond simply providing a wedding venue by staying involved and helping them throughout their journey.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I've received is to always bet on myself and never let obstacles stop me. I believe challenges are simply roadblocks that require creative thinking and a willingness to find another way forward. The key is to think outside the box, stay determined, and keep moving forward.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering this industry is to be different and find what sets you apart. Discover your niche and focus on what genuinely inspires you. Building something you're passionate about is far more rewarding than simply bringing someone else's vision to life.
04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Family is the most important part of my life. I value being present for my husband and daughter, supporting her activities, and creating meaningful family experiences. My husband and I also enjoy running our ranch and meat business together. Whether coaching basketball, staying active, or supporting my daughter's interests, I believe in being involved, dependable, and making time for what matters most.
