Q

What do you attribute your success to?

At first, it was a mistake, but I really don't take it as a mistake. It's a divine calling, I would say, to help people just the same as they helped my parents. My parents were immigrants and entrepreneurs, and they were able to put me through private school my entire life, have a roof over our heads, and feed us. I really did not know the sacrifices as entrepreneurs that they had until I became an adult. My inspiration is really to help people as they helped my parents. It's my give back to the world. I love to see people win. Some folks have called me the entrepreneur's cheerleader, just because I'm there rooting you on. Regardless if they're doing business with me, I just love to see someone hit a milestone that they have been working on. I love seeing people win!

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve ever received came from mentors who encouraged me to embrace challenges, essentially saying, “If you’re up for the challenge, here it is.” Their guidance taught me to accept responsibility, step into opportunities, and grow beyond what I initially thought possible.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering this industry is to support and uplift each other—be a cheerleader for your peers and celebrate their milestones as you grow together.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

The biggest challenges and opportunities in my field stem from the rapid evolution of technology and media, including AI and behavioral targeting, which require entrepreneurs and brands to continuously adapt their personal branding and marketing strategies to stay relevant and effective.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

My motto is Faith, Family, and Food. Every morning starts with faith. I go into my corner office and read from a book called Starting Your Day Right by Joyce Meyer. Every day, there's one page, just enough to keep you in your right state of mind, faithfully obedient, and a word of encouragement for your day. My prayer is simple: who do I meet today and make an impact? My team is more of a family, so the first 15 to 20 minutes of our meeting is just really catching up for the day, asking how's everything going, how's mom and dad, what could we do better. At the end of my day, I look at my desk and say, okay, we did what we could. I don't beat myself up if I didn't hit everything on my to-do list. The forward momentum is okay, we did what we could, we did it to our best abilities, and we did make an impact on someone today. After we log off, we go have family time. That's what it's all about.
