About Phyllis
I am a manufacturing and operations leader with over two decades of experience in production management, quality control, and community engagement, currently serving as Manager in manufacturing, a role I have held since April 2025, where I lead project management and supply chain initiatives. I also serve as Research Analyst and Lead Supervisor, a role I have held since January 2020, where I conduct vehicle market research, manage product information, oversee four assembly lines, and lead quality control, lean initiatives, and safety.
Prior to these roles, I served as Operations Supervisor for over a year, where I oversaw multiple departments in a textile facility, maximizing efficiency, quality, and productivity, troubleshooting mechanical problems, and gaining human resources experience. I have also served as Coordinator for Community Outreach since January 2000, where I lead diversity and inclusion programs, serve as a Youth Advisor, coordinate special outreach projects and events, and act as an actor in professional plays and an educational mentor.
Earlier in my career, I served in Therapeutic Foster Care at BWB/Focus for over six years, where I developed and implemented individualized treatment plans, as Documentation Library Manager for Quality at Corning for over two years, where I utilized Windchill, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint to produce and control documents and create strategic plans for quality improvements, and as Universal Eligibility Specialist at Catawba County Department of Social Services for six years, where I analyzed applications and financial status to prequalify clients for county programs.
I hold a Master of Arts in Liberal Arts and Sciences from Lenoir-Rhyne University and completed graduate courses in Strategic Leadership at Mountain State University with a 4.0 GPA.
Across my career in manufacturing, operations, and community engagement, my work has been driven by a commitment to operational excellence, quality improvement, and community service. Whether I am leading manufacturing teams, conducting market research, or coordinating community outreach, I bring a strategic, collaborative, and results-driven approach that has made a lasting impact on the organizations and communities I serve. I am proud of the work I have done throughout my career and excited to continue leading and serving in my current roles.
