About Pierrette

I am an educator, program manager, and community advocate with a strong commitment to empowering individuals and families through education, leadership development, and community engagement, currently serving as a Permanent Substitute Teacher at ESS, a role I have held since August 2025, where I facilitate classroom instruction and maintain educational continuity for diverse student populations, utilizing strong classroom management and behavioral support strategies to create engaging learning environments and helping behavioral and below-average students achieve significant academic growth.

I also serve as Program Manager at People In Business Inc., a part-time role I have held since March 2023, where I lead nonprofit operations, program management, and community outreach initiatives, developing and facilitating personal, family, fatherhood, and business development programs including UConn PEP Communities and 24:7 Dad, and managing partnerships, event logistics, stakeholder engagement, and administrative functions to drive community impact and organizational growth. I also served as Troop Facilitator at Girl Scouts of Southeast Florida for seven months, where I led troop operations and program management for youth development initiatives, overseeing meeting planning, event coordination, and volunteer engagement.

Prior to these roles, I served as Skills and Courses and Business Development Coordinator at AmeriCorps VISTA for over a year, where I directed community outreach and administrative operations to mobilize local businesses and municipalities, facilitated brand projection and awareness by establishing strategic partnerships, managed administrative workflows including MOUs and executive presentations, and coordinated Commission meetings. I also served as Office Administration and Constituent Services at Orange County Government for over a year, where I streamlined administrative communications as the primary liaison, advocated for the disadvantaged community by facilitating positive relationships with senior leaders and elected officials, and conducted extensive data analysis and compilation to generate clear administrative reports.

Across my career in education, nonprofit management, and community advocacy, my work has been driven by a commitment to equity, access, and empowerment, ensuring that individuals and families have the resources, skills, and support they need to thrive. Whether I am teaching in the classroom, leading community programs, or advocating for policy change, I bring a collaborative, client-centered approach and a dedication to creating lasting social impact. I am proud of the work I have done throughout my career and excited to continue making a difference in the lives of students, families, and communities.
