About Pooja
Pooja Chojar brings more than 20 years of professional experience to her role as sales enablement lead for IQVIA Explorer at IQVIA. After earning a bachelor's degree in physiology and a Master's of Science in Experimental Medicine from McGill University, she worked in an academic lab and then spent nearly three years at a startup pharmaceutical company in Montreal as a bench lab scientist. Seeking to transition into business, she volunteered at SOS Cuisine before pursuing an MBA at Boston College, during which she completed an internship at Eli Lilly and Company helping launch the diabetes drug Idurion. She then joined Elsevier, where she spent about 10 years advancing from sales enablement manager to product management and strategic partnerships roles. At IQVIA, her path has included positions on the analytics and AI team supporting sales enablement and marketing, a go-to-market role for the launch of an AI assistant, product management developing Agentic AI products, and her current sales enablement leadership position. Pooja holds a Scrum certification along with Agentic AI certifications and has completed AI courses through IQVIA's internal AI university, earning yellow, green, and black belts. She received the Visionary revenue-minded award at Elsevier for driving approximately 10 percent annual revenue growth with a lean team. Outside her professional work, she donates to Shanti Bhavan, an organization focused on educating children in underprivileged areas of India.

01What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Take risks and don't always play it super safe. Experiment and challenge yourself even when in a comfortable job. I took risks moving from research to business, volunteering to test the waters before MBA, and switching from R&D to commercial AI space.
