Her Interview
Ten minutes with Pooja
01What do you attribute your success to?
My team are my core strength. Having the right kind of people helping me out at the right point in time throughout my career has enabled me to reach a director position in a decade. Being a problem solver and enabler has also been key.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Security professionals need to be enablers rather than bottlenecks or policemen. Focus on enabling the business while maintaining security, and always be a problem solver who makes things easier for clients, business, and team.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Have the three P's: Passion, Perseverance, and Patience. Keep your passion alive, persevere through changes, and be patient as things take time. Cybersecurity has many avenues beyond stereotypes - you can wear dresses and be in boardrooms. Think and act boldly with integrity.
04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Integrity, courage, and togetherness. Working with integrity and accountability, thinking and acting boldly, and valuing the team and people you work with as they stay with you forever.
